Planning a Comfort hinged door

Resolve entrance movement and hardware

Mark the hinge side, swing direction and clear opening on the plan. Consider who will use the door, the reach to the handle and where a screen might sit. Discuss locks, closers and any paired or adjoining panels as part of the complete entrance arrangement.

Coordinate comfort and the threshold

The insulated frame needs compatible glazing, seals and a suitable building interface. Provide floor levels, exposure and energy requirements so the threshold and glass can be considered together. Check any access requirements with the designer and confirm the final specification before surrounding finishes are completed.
