NSW HOME ENERGY SAVER

Double glazing finance is coming to eligible NSW homes

The NSW Government includes qualifying double glazed windows and doors in its Home Energy Saver program. Participating lenders are still rolling out access for this upgrade, and Performance Windows is preparing its supplier accreditation and Southern NSW service launch.

Up to $15,000

Program loan maximum, subject to provider assessment and product rollout.

Zero interest

Finance is provided by a participating lender and remains subject to credit approval.

U-value ≤ 3.0

Maximum whole window U-value under the current program guidelines.

Important program status

Home Energy Saver loans are open for several upgrades, and NSW guidelines include qualifying double glazing. However, participating finance providers currently describe double glazing access as still being rolled out. This page is an expression of interest, not an offer or approval of finance.

ELIGIBILITY BASICS

Who the NSW loan is intended for

You may be eligible if you meet the program criteria and the participating lender’s credit assessment. The lender, not Performance Windows, makes the eligibility and finance decision.

A dwelling in NSW

The property receiving the upgrade must be located in New South Wales.

Property owner

The applicant must own the property as an owner occupier or landlord.

Australian status

The applicant must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Income threshold

Combined annual taxable household income must be up to $210,000.

Eligible property

Social housing and properties used for short stay accommodation are excluded.

Provider assessment

All loans remain subject to lender eligibility checks, lending criteria and credit approval.

QUALIFYING DOUBLE GLAZING

The complete window must meet the program standard

The current guidelines apply to replacement of external single glazed windows or doors, or eligible secondary glazing. The complete window or door, including frame and glass, must achieve a maximum U-value of 3.0.

Why homeowners consider double glazing

NSW Government guidance says double glazing can help reduce noise, improve year round comfort and lower heating and cooling demand.

SOUTHERN NSW SERVICE PLANNING

Local knowledge, extended across the NSW region

Performance Windows is assessing Home Energy Saver enquiries from Queanbeyan, Yass, Goulburn, Wagga Wagga and surrounding NSW regions. Service availability will depend on project scope, travel logistics and supplier accreditation.
